Fun & Festive Christmas Treat Bag

Christmas season is finally here! If you know us then you won’t be surprised at how excited we are around this time of year. Everything feels magical and fun for us. The freezing cold weather just feels cosy. Darker nights at 5pm? Time to watch festive movies earlier! Cheesy Christmas songs on repeat in coffee shops? Instant holiday cheer! So with all that festive fun it’s time to reveal our Christmas Treat Bag! How cute is it? We think it’s perfect for kids, but it’s a fun treat for the big kids (aka adults) too! We’ve selected a wonderfully Christmas-y bag by Meri Meri that is covered with rainbow confetti dots and features candy cane twist handles! As soon as we saw this bag knew exactly what we wanted to fill it with!

Inside there is a large festive gingerbread star cookie decorated with golden yellow icing and stamped with a cute message! We’ve also added in three mini gingerbread people cookies… perfect with a giant mug of hot chocolate and cream!

This year we’ve added tasty Belgian chocolate covered oreos to our product line! These can get addictive by the way. It’s a crunchy Oreo cookie enrobed with tempered Belgian milk chocolate. We then dressed it up as a sweet Christmas pudding with edible gold splatters, white candy icing and fondant holly berries and leaves! What a fabulous holiday treat!

We LOVE making squishy melt-in-your-mouth marshmallows. We included them in our Easter and Halloween treat bags as large chunky gourmet versions. For Christmas and winter we’ve dipped a vanilla marshmallow in Belgian chocolate and crushed candy cane and turned it into the cutest marshmallow stirrer! Enjoy dipped in hot cocoa or indulgent mochas for a fabulous treat.

Finally, we’ve added a Peppermint S’mores macaron nestled inside a Christmas bauble into our treat bag! It’s a green macaron filled with a slice of gourmet vanilla bean marshmallow, peppermint chocolate buttercream, a dollop of Belgian chocolate, crushed candy cane and snowflake sprinkles.

Pretty Blush Pink Floral Wedding Cake at Saltmarshe Hall!

We’ve been so busy this wedding season that we only just now have a bit of time to write a post! Perfect for a spring wedding we created this gorgeously blush wedding cake in March. A pretty bespoke creation for the lovely Sally and Andrew who celebrated at the serene Saltmarshe Hall! It was the very first cake of our wedding season and we were so excited to make it.

In the centre was a pink ombré modern rose with rose petals swirling around the centre bud. On each side we added ombré open peonies with light pink inner petals fading to white for the ruffled petals on the outside. Dotted around were small white damson blossoms, rose leaves and grey-green eucalyptus springs.

This wedding cake at Saltmarshe Hall featured glittering 24k edible gold leaf which adorned the centre. These burst out from underneath the sugar florals and add an extra bit of luxe.

We added a little touch of texture to the top tier with hand-piped royal icing pearls. This is definitely one of our favourite ways to subtly detail a wedding cake! We then kept the base tier lovely and sleek with a shimmering satin lustre effect.

We loved the pretty yet carefree decor the couple added to the hall! Since we first met Sally and Andrew for their consultation we remembered them as being a fun couple. That 100% shined through at the venue from the gigantic balloon, relaxed flowers, quirky afternoon tea and hand written order of the day mirror. Of course, we took a few snaps of on the day! The florals were all locally grown by Wold’s Way Flowers in Scarborough and arranged by the bride and groom!

Now time for the treats! For Sally and Andrew’s big day they wanted a selection of blush and ivory macarons streaked with glittering gold! Flavours? Our popular Vanilla & White Chocolate Truffle, Strawberry Milkshake (lovely and fragrant), Cookies & Cream (perfect for kids… and big kids too) and gooey Salted Caramel!

As for the wedding favours we created watercolour painted hexagon cookies featuring the happy couple’s initials in gold letters. These were alongside heart biscuits with golden streaks and hand-piped ‘love’ across each! We also baked and decorated smaller accompanying cookies in mini hexagons and mini hearts.

When setting up the cake the couple left a cute golden cake topper which added a bit of extra height! The perfect finish to a sweet and romantic wedding cake! Congratulations Sally and Andrew!

Bespoke Snow Globe Themed Cookies for Olivia Burton London!

How gorgeous are these winter themed cookies we designed and created exclusively for Olivia Burton London? Based on their snow globe inspired watch collection each cookie is a sparkling holiday motif from a gold streaked candy cane to an intricate snowflake! Perfect sweet treats for the frosty and cosy season!

How pretty is that gingerbread gift tag cookie! Each dove grey iced biscuit featured a hand piped holiday message from Olivia Burton in a fun on-trend script / hand-written inspired font as well as a slip of satin ribbon through each.

Above is a quick shot of all the little beauties packaged and nestled in their pretty silver tins with shimmering iridescent shred. We love this part of any large bespoke project… seeing everything in their final stages of packaging! Everything always looks so fabulous. We’re such insane package and wrap freaks that everything has to be perfect. We even weigh out any filling like poly peanuts or shred so it’s all equal.

One of our favourites were the lovely and seasonal white, grey and gold snow globes in each silver tin. When Olivia Burton London explained their collection ideas we instantly felt so festive! The snow globe idea was such an exciting shape and cookie to work with. We looked at their collection (we also own 4 Olivia Burton London watches!) and kept the colours simple. We toyed with rose gold hues based on one of their snow globe watches, but this changed to a gorgeous classic gold to reflect the interior of their flagship store in Covent Garden!

Also included in this sparkling collection of winter cookies are pretty splattered trees, gold streaked candy canes and pearl-studded snowballs! Each cookie was baked fresh using our go-to gingerbread recipe.

The lace-like and intricate snowflake cookies were a definite favourite too. They’re too pretty. Each was iced in white before being dusted in edible pearl lustre and finally piped details were added!

And here is a shot of the final collection! A large dove grey branded gift tag with ribbon, mini trees, a pretty snowflake, larger gold finished tree, fun snow globe, trio of snowballs and a gold streaked candy cane. What pretty treats!
