Our Magical Christmas Cupcake Collection!

Festive Christmas cupcakes by Juniper Cakery

2018 has been our busiest year yet. So busy that before we could fully release our festive treats collection we started to get booked up! We are officially sold out for the holiday season, but these pretty Christmas cupcakes were too fabulous to not share, right? There’s pink! Gold! And cute Christmas-y details! What’s not to love?

Fun festive cupcakes by Juniper Cakery

We’d been wanting to whip up a festive bauble macaron for a few Christmases now. Sadly, when the season arrives it zooms past and we hardly get time to sit down. This year we sketched out our cupcake ideas in advance (possibly a little odd when Halloween had not even landed). Blush pink macarons were dressed up as cute tree ornaments with an edible golden loop and fixing.

The cupcake itself is one for the grown-ups! A Raspberry Pink Gin flavour… a gorgeous pink coloured cupcake (yes, it’s pink inside) filled with fruity raspberry preserve laced with Gordon’s Pink Gin, then swirled with a raspberry gin & tonic buttercream, fun pink sugar strands from Fancy Sprinkles and a Raspberry Pink Gin macaron bauble! Oh la la! Perfect for the party season.

Gorgeous and glam Christmas cupcakes!

The next wonderfully festive treat in our holiday cupcake collection is our Vanilla & White Chocolate Truffle Snowstorm! This has been such a popular flavour for macarons all year we thought we’d add it to our cake & cupcake menu! Obviously it made it’s debut for Christmas! Fluffy Madagascan vanilla cake swirled with creamy vanilla bean and Belgian white chocolate infused buttercream, covered with a flurry of snowy sprinkles and then finished with glittering fondant snowflakes!

Finally, let’s introduce our Salted Caramel Stardust cupcake. It’s the perfect cupcake for a Christmas wish! It is a soft Belgian chocolate cake filled with our home made salted caramel sauce. We then swirl each with Madagascan vanilla and salted caramel buttercream before adding a pretty edible shooting star!

‘Re-launch Week Tutorial No. 1’: How to make an easy Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer cupcake

This is a really quick and easy tutorial to make your cupcakes festive and fun in the winter months! What makes the Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer cupcake even better is that anyone can try it! If you’ve limited cake decorating experience, want quick cupcakes to wow your family and friends with or you need a tasty project to do with the kids in the holiday season then this may be the perfect tutorial for you!

What you will need:

A cupcake
Buttercream (your prefered flavour, we used butterscotch)
Pretzels
M&Ms or Cinnamon Drop sprinkles by Wilton
808 tip by Ateco
White Candy Melts by Wilton
Jet black edible ink pen by Rainbow Dust
Disposable piping bag by Ateco
Fully edible glitter by Twinkle Baker Decor

Step one: Take your filled disposable piping bag by Ateco and pipe a generous swirl atop of your cupcake. Sprinkle with some fully edible glitter to finish!

Step two: Set your cupcake aside and take two white candy melts by Wilton. Using the jet black edible ink pen by Rainbow Dust draw pupils in the centre of the candy melts; now you have your reindeer eyes.

Step three: Now push your reindeer’s eyes into the buttercream at the top and then nestle an M&M below at the centre for Rudolf’s nose.

Step Four: Take your pretzels and push them into the top of the buttercream behind the eyes.

Now you have created your very own Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer cupcake to enjoy during the holidays! Keep checking back to find out how to whip up the other cupcakes below!

Merry Christmas from Juniper Cakery
