Autumn Cupcakes Collection 2020!

Autumn is almost here! That time of year when you begin to feel cosy, crave pumpkin spice everything and pin must-have log cabins. It’s also the season to indulge in a few extra treats. We never get bored of all the flavours autumn brings and this year is no different. So… to say hello to falling leaves and crisp mornings here’s our Autumn Cupcake Collection!

Our six box of seasonal cupcakes comes with two fun flavours. Pumpkin Spice & Caramel and Nutella Stuffed. They’re bound to get you in the mood for autumn if you’re not #feelingseasonal already. Unbelievably, this is our first ever autumn cupcakes box. 2020 has been such a rollercoaster year that we thought an extra sweet treat would be a great idea, right?

Pumpkin Spice & Caramel cupcake

We LOVE pumpkin spice. When we were planning our autumnal cupcakes pumpkin spice was at the centre of everything. We jotted down ideas for the classic PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latter) and even a Toasted Pumpkin Spice Marshmallow. Finally we settled on Pumpkin Spice and Caramel which leaves out the coffee (perfect for kids) and doesn’t get too sticky (perfect for grown-ups… kids) with all the marshmallow gooey-ness.

Each of our Pumpkin Spice & Caramel cupcakes are cored and filled with salted caramel sauce. We then swirl them with a silky smooth caramel infused buttercream, drizzle with even more salted caramel and add sprinkles. Finally we pipe buttercream pumpkins on top with even more cute sprinkles as the pumpkin stalks!

Here’s a tempting shot of the salted caramel sauce inside! It’s perfect with the pumpkin spice flavour.

Nutella Stuffed cupcake

Now it’s time to look at our Nutella Stuffed cupcake! A spoonful of delicious Nutella (yum) is stuffed into our chocolate cupcakes before each is swirled with a Belgian chocolate and Nutella infused buttercream. To decorate we’ve added a glittering rose gold splatter, roasted chopped hazelnuts and a Nutella macaron on top. Perfect for the chocolate obsessed.

Look at that lovely sticky Nutella inside! Can’t. Resist.

Our Mother’s Day Cupcake Collection For 2020!

Aren’t these pink Mother’s Day cupcakes tempting? Yes, it’s that time again! Since 2016 we’ve released a special box of cupcakes to celebrate Mother’s Day and here is our offering for 2020. We’ve also had more and more people email us super early (January… what?) asking what cupcakes we’ll be doing for Mothering Sunday. Well, here they are! Pretty in various shades of pink with a little gold thrown in; they’re the perfect gift for March 22 (in the U.K.).

How gorgeously rose tinted are these treats? Last year we launched blush and rose gold cupcakes with bee themed accents. This year various shades of pink were in order. From the fresh roses and macarons to the chocolate dipped strawberries we opted for a mix of blush and bright tones!

Lemon Zest & Raspberry

Flavour number one? Lemon Zest & Raspberry! The perfect flavour for the coming spring days. We baked lemon zest into a vanilla cupcake then filled it with fruity raspberry preserve. We then added cute swirl of Sicilian lemon oil infused buttercream. Finishing each is a gold splatter, sugar pearls, fresh pink rose and a blush macaron filled with lemon buttercream!

Strawberry & White Chocolate Truffle

Next up is our second flavour. Another sweet treat perfect for spring… Strawberry & White Chocolate Truffle! A vanilla cupcake dipped in pink white Belgian chocolate and studded with strawberry crunch sprinkles. Then each are swirled with pink strawberry & white chocolate buttercream with a drizzle of pink chocolate on top. Finally, we finished one with a fondant pink diamond debossed with ‘mum’. Two of the Strawberry & White Chocolate Truffle cupcakes are finished with pink chocolate dipped strawberries and a piece of a pink chocolate prism bar (that we create ourselves)!

We hit 100k Followers on Instagram!

We hit 100k followers on Instagram! Yay! Thank you to everyone who follows, likes, shares and comments on our Instagram! We just can’t believe it! It’s been a pretty long road getting to the 100k milestone really (the constantly shifting algorithms over the past 2 years certainly haven’t helped). Two years ago we got to 10k and thought that was amazing so just think how we feel now. Yay! We hit the big 100k back in late November, but Christmas and New Year was such a whirlwind that we’ve only just had the chance to blog about it. Typical.

Instagram has become a job in itself which we’ve both needed to pay attention to. The way the world works now it’s impossible to ignore especially when you run a business. It takes up a large proportion of our personal time. When we finish the physical work… the baking, decorating, small order pick-ups, photographing, wedding deliveries, etc… then we have to find time for Insta. So when everyone is on Netflix & chill mode we’re editing, cropping, pre-scheduling and then there’s the world of Instagram Stories (eek). It is, however, definitely a labour of love for us and it’s always exciting to see all that work finished and posted!

It’s pretty crazy to think we have over 100k followers. When we began our business we’ll admit that we avoided social media in the early days. This was back in 2012 when those little Twitter or Facebook icons were a growing appearance on websites and packaging. These days it’s the first place people click to. Instagram itself acts as a constantly moving and evolving portfolio which is not only handy, but fun. Plus we sure do love the sleek square grid format! With that in mind we thought we’d share a few screencaps from our Instagram profile to celebrate! From cute cookies to colourful cakes there’s always room for an extra sweet treat.
